ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT: Meet and Hear Billy Bob Thorton in Asheville

By D. Lanier Shook                   July 27, 2018

Asheville is a great place because of the scenery, the vibe, the food, the live music, and the celebrities you can see. Well here’s a chance to schedule meeting a celebrity. (To keep up with celebrity sightings check out the blogging king of Asheville Jason Sandford on his website Ashvegas.com.)

Here are two more celebrity sightings in Asheville — me and Ronald.

I’ve only seen Billy Bob Thornton in two movies — the fact they were The Alamo and Eagle Eye tells you what I prefer to watch — but I thought he did a great job as the FBI agent in Eagle Eye. Apparently he, like many actors, enjoys playing in a band and that band — The Boxmasters — will be in Asheville in two weeks. I need to pause and thank my friend Brian for passing along the tip.

Billy Bob and The Boxmasters will be at The Salvage Station in The River Arts District on August 14 for 3 hours, from 8 to 11 pm. You can find out more by clicking here to visit their website. That’s also where you can pick up tickets in advance.
