ROADTRIP: Elizabethton, Tennessee’s Covered Bridge

By D. Lanier Shook                                       July 19, 2015

If you’re looking for a Williamsburg, Virginia like experience on a Greenville, South Carolina timetable I’ve got the place for you. If you’re looking for a Washington, DC level of history and you want to make it back home for dinner, I’ve got the place for you. You can find all of this as close as across the mountains in East Tennessee.

Bridge1You can click here to enjoy a video of the bridge  that I posted to Youtube.

Go to the liiiight... if its at the other end of the Covered Bridge. This is the interior of the historic covered bridge.

The bridge is also home to a wonderful public park with picnic tables and pavilions. There’s an incredible walking trail and lots of ducks to provide live entertainment. For more information about the Elizabethton Covered Bridge check out these links.
