What culture do you come from? Today most people in the West have been influenced by a number of different cultures. Learning about these cultures is perhaps my favorite part of writing and passing that information along to my readers is even more exciting.
In chapter two of my e-book CODE NAME: Monte Rico, I host a dinner in Malta. My protagonists enjoy a meal drawn from the island’s cultures. The meal was based around a wonderful fish soup called bouillabaisse that you might be interested in trying. Here are a few sites on the web where you can learn more about the dish.
- Click here to visit the Food Network’s website and see Emeril Lagasse’s recipe.
- Click here to read a recipe from Food and Wine’s website.
- Click here to read Kelsey Nixon’s recipe on the Cooking Channel’s website.
- Click here to watch Julia Child make it in this YouTube video.
You can read more about the dinner I served my characters during their stay on Malta in CODE NAME: Monte Rico. The dishes that complemented the soup are easy to make and easier to enjoy. When you click here you can read the first three chapters of the book for free and that includes Chapter Two, where the meal is described. Bon Appetit and happy reading.
