Two weeks ago was sunny, breezy, and a great day to be outdoors. The only thing that could have made it better was a live performance by one of our area’s talented musicians. If you were at St. Paul’s Vineyard that Saturday then you already know that I enjoyed Emily Bodley, a local singer songwriter.
St. Paul’s Vineyards are located just east of Hendersonville, off Highway 64. The sun, the wind, and the veranda seemed liked a location transplanted from Italy, California, Israel, France, or some other wine growing region. With summer coming you can experience this same feeling by clicking here to learn about the other artists St. Paul’s will be hosting during the next few months. Mama Duke’s Wood Fired Pizza provided great food and you can click here to learn how they can enhance your next event. My only suggestion is that St. Paul’s serve coffee, too.
The star of the afternoon was Hendersonville’s own Emily Bodley. We first met Miss Bodley when she played at last year’s Mountain State Fair. Since then we’ve been privileged to hear her twice. (Click here to read about her at the Seventh Avenue Bazaar.) You can enjoy her talented performance by clicking here to visit her YouTube channel, click here to listen to her on SoundCloud, and keep up with her by clicking here to connect with her on Facebook.
You can also hear her soulful tunes live at the following locations during the next few months.
- Saturday, May 24th at Wild Wings Café in downtown Asheville at 9:00 pm
- Saturday, June 14th at Wild Wings Café in downtown Asheville at 9:00 pm
- Friday, July 18th at Oskar Blue’s Brewery in Brevard from 6:00-8:00 pm
