FESTIVAL: Harmon Field Music Festival is a Great Way to Spend A Saturday

By D. Lanier Shook                                        March 29, 2014

The Tryon area is a wonderful place to visit. Its close to Asheville, Spartanburg, Greenville, and Charlotte. There are amazing restaurants, incredible attractions, and good roads to get there. But on Saturday April 26, you can add a music festival to that list.

You probably haven’t heard of the Harmon Field Music Festival, since this is the first one. It will be raising funds to help support Harmon Field, which is best known outside Polk County as home to the annual Blue Ridge Barbeque Festival. It’s also a great way to enjoy great food, music, cars, and fun.

You need to click here to visit the Music Festival’s home page, but here’s a little bit of what you can expect. There’ll be a kid’s village, a car show, a corn hole tournament, food, beverages, and live music. Here are just a few of the bands you can expect to hear.

Jim Peterman with Wanda Johnson

The Van Dangs

The Deadfields

Honey and the Hot Rods
