When is a street a destination? When it’s Cherry Street in Black Mountain. This street isn’t very long, but its packed with shops, restaurants, and galleries you can spend all day at — literally.
Places like Cherry Street are the reason people come to visit Western North Carolina. You can park along the street, down the hill at the Depot, or on East State Street just below the Fire Department— although this parking lot is a hop, skip, and a jump away.
The businesses on Cherry Street are diverse, offering anything you need. Here’s just a few of them.
- Brookstone Builders
- Bone a Fide Pet Boutique
- Mountain Spirit Cards and Gifts
- Chifferaobe Home and Garden
- Ivy Corner Antiques and More
- Spice It Up, click here to read what The Laurel of Asheville said about it
- Cherry Street Gallery
- Mountain Nest
- Town Pump Tavern
- Dark City Deli and Pub
- Head To Toe
- Black Mountian Iron Works and Heart Flame Gallery
- My Father’s Pizza
- Trailhead Restaurant
- The Man Cave
- One Fly Outfitters
Cherry Street is only one of many great destinations that make Black Mountain the Front Porch of Western North Carolina. But it’s one of those places you can spend all day at. (I nearly did.)
