FESTIVALS: Bristol’s Speedway In Lights is Officially a Holiday Tradition

By D. Lanier Shook                                                                  November 4, 2013

For 17 years the Bristol Motor Speedway has made the holidays come to life for adults and children alike. For folks here in Asheville, its only about an hour and a half away, giving us no reason not to enjoy this incredible experience. If you’ve never driven around the Speedway and enjoyed the hundreds of displays, you literally don’t know what you’re missing.

The Lights came on about a month ago and will be up for another month. You can find out all the details — hours, ticket, etc — by clicking here to visit the Speedway’s website. This year is even more exciting than usual, as the Speedway’s management continues to find ways to enthrall and excite visitors.

Visiting the track obviously appeals to race fans and the lights appeal to everybody, but the Battle at Bristol Fan Zone and Light Display will thrill football fans. Not only will there be football themed light displays, but you can look forward to small scale replicas and several interactive activities. What more could sports fans ask for?
