FESTIVAL: Plan Now Celebrate the Bounty of Nature In Charleston

By D. Lanier Shook                           October 17, 2013

When you went to Charleston I hope you got the chance to get out of the city itself and enjoy the incredible natural beauty of the area. If you drive west and southwest of Charleston you’ll come to the lush foliage of John’s Island. This makes an awesome afternoon drive that I’ve enjoyed with my friends.

John’s Island County Park is also home to the Mullet Hall Equestrian Center which is where the 12th Annual Harvest Fest will be held next month. This is the place to be to enjoy traditional South Carolina cuisine and awesome bluegrass music from 12 to 4 on the afternoon of the second of November. There will also be displays of remote controlled airplanes for you to enjoy, along with plenty of activities for the kids and crafts you can purchase.

You’ll want to click here to visit the festival website which is where you’ll find out more about tickets and the music groups. I’m going to suggest you also click here to see what the Charleston Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has to say about the event. That site is also the place to find information about other events, attractions, and lodging options in the Charleston area.
