Do you enjoy making crafts? Do you enjoy collecting crafts? Do you just enjoying browsing wonderful crafts? Either way you will want to attend the 57th Annual Mt. Mitchell Crafts Fair on the Town Square in Burnsville.
The Craft Fair is coming in about three weeks, which gives you just enough time to plan for it. If you make or sell crafts you need to click here to read the rules for the Fair. If they sound good and you still want to go, then click here for an application to participate in the Fair.
If you want to buy crafts, or just spend a Saturday browsing them, you need to click here to read about the Fair. You’ll be one of 25,000 people browsing over 200 juried crafts. There will be exhibits for everything from furniture to ironwork to pottery to fabrics and more. If you need to decorate your home this is the place to go.
If you haven’t been to Burnsville within the past few years you literally don’t know what you’re missing. Highway 19 is four lane right up to town all the way there. It’s as good a road as you’ll find anywhere and its exciting to think what its going to do for the High Country.
The Square in Burnsville is a magical place with murals, beautiful buildings, cozy coffee shops, and lots of park benches. Burnsville is not only a town that welcomes visitors, its also the gateway to Spruce Pine and Bakersville. After you spend time at the the Craft Fair I’m going to suggest you drive on up 19 to visit The Mineral City. I did and it was a wonderful drive.
