In about two weeks we will be enjoying what will probably our last Bele Chere. Bele Chere is home to great food and great music, but you need to go see the arts and crafts. The Western North Carolina mountains are famous for their crafts and our largest street festival is no exception.
The best place to get an idea of the variety of crafts is on the Bele Chere website itself. Click here to visit their Crafts page where you can see the list of craft vendor and follow links to the websites of some that have shops in downtown Asheville. There are probably two hundred artists listed on the page in all, giving a taste of what you have to look forward to.
We’ve covered Bele Chere before and you can click here for Eleven Reasons to Go to Bele Chere. If you want to find out about every musical acts coming to Bele Chere just click here for a list, reviews, and links to their websites. Finally, if you want to learn what the city officials had to say about this being the last Bele Chere click here for an article featuring their comments in response to our questions or click here for even more of their comments in response to our questions.
