Summer is great time to relax in water, but this can be dangerous. Dangerous amoeba could cause fatal brain infections if they get into your sinuses. Fortunately this danger seems to be limited to freshwater lakes, but it’s scary enough I had to pass it on.
A Yahoo/ABC News article warns that the organism, named Naegleria fowleri is present in many freshwater bodies. Click here to read the entire article.
