Last week I had the good fortune to spend a few hours in downtown Spartanburg, South Carolina. This city has invested in its downtown, making sure to preserve the precarious balance between development and preservation. Music On Main is a great example of what makes Spartanburg a must-go daytrip destination.
Beginning a month ago, the City of Spartanburg began hosting live outdoor concert literally in the shadow of it’s downtown clock tower. For the next three months they’ll be bringing great musical acts to this stage from 5:30 to 8:30 every Thursday. You can click here to visit the Music On Main homepage and read the awesome lineup.
Spartanburg is a great destination for Western North Carolina residents. (And everyone else, for that matter.) The city is full of fountains, parks, amazing architecture, great shopping, and amazing people. So pop down to Music On Main and maybe you’ll see me there.
