Spring is great because we can finally get outside and do more. But so many of those events seem to be several hours away or require admission. This Saturday those of you in West Asheville will be able to walk down the street and enjoy one of those great events. (The rest of y’all are welcome, too, but we recommend you you drive unless you’re really, really energetic.)
I’m talking about the All Go West Music Festival 2013. The good folks at the Asheville Scene want you to join them on Haywood Road in West Asheville’s this Saturday. You can expect food, drinks, music, and skateboarding demonstrations. There are going to be over 20 bands on two stages — the Isis Restaurant and Music Hall stage and the 98.1 The River stage. A few of the bands you can look forward to seeing are:
- Alex Krug Combo
- The Critters
- Roadkill Ghost Choir
- Stevie Lee Combs
- Zombie Queen
- Kovacs & The Polar Bear
There are several and while I’m not trying to leave anybody out, I want you to click here for the full list. The Festival’s Music page is awesome. It’s got photos and links to the groups’ pages. You can also click here to find out when and where the groups will be playing.
What you need to do right now is click here to visit the Music Festival’s home page. For the latest updates click here to go straight to their Facebook page or click here to check out their Twitter feed.
As far as I know this event will run from 11 a.m. on Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday morning. Maybe I’ll see you there.
