In 1998 the U.S. Congress declared Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia to be the official Birthplace of Country Music. Since it’s just over an hour away, this is a great thing for folks who want to Travel Cheaper, Travel Better, and Travel More. Here’s what you need to know to enjoy the arts and entertainment scene in Bristol.

If you’re a diehard country music fan you’ll want to learn about the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, read their blog, and buy merchandise. This includes a five CD set of the original Bristol Sessions dating back to 1927 and 1928.
