Well it’s Thursday and now is the time to check out the Orange Peel’s website by clicking here. There have been two weeks within the past month when shows have been sold out and you have to visit the site regularly to make certain you’re not the one out of luck. The Kiss Country Winter Jam on Tuesday is a perfect example. If you’d wanted to see six groups including Billy Ray Cyrus, Love and Theft, and Uncle Kracker for just $25 whicle benefiting Mission’s Children’s Health you are now out of luck. And with that encouraging statement, let’s see what’s still available this weekend.
On Friday the Eighth the Orange Peel will feature Conspirator, along with Break Science. You’re going to enjoy two electronica dance/rock fusion bands that sound like they’ll be really good. (That’s the bad part about this job. I’m writing about great stuff and realizing my schedule’s already full. Oh the humanity!) You can still get tickets for $16, but if you wait till tomorrow they’ll be $18. The doors will open at 8 pm and the shows starts at 9.
Oh, this is a good time to mention that Kubo’s Restaurant up at 5 Biltmore Avenue will give you 10% off with a ticket from the Orange Peel on the night of the show. Click here to find out more.
Sunday you are the star. No really, you are. That’ what the Slice of Life Comedy Open Mic Night offers. For $5 you can catch T.J. Young hosting the show. For more information about T.J. Young click here to visit his site.
This is where I’m going to encourage you to visit these artist’s sites. That’s where you’ll find their schedules, videos, music you can listen to for free, music you can buy, and sometimes music you can download for free. You also need to visit the Orange Peel’s website. They have great podcasts, blogs, and now have a feature that lets you listen to the groups they’re having right there on their website. Plus you can buy tickets before they’re all gone.
