On Sunday my family and I will celebrate Epiphany together. We’ve been doing this for less than ten years, but its already become a family tradition. In many ways that’s what the holiday is about.
It’s about a family. A family making a life in a strange city. When my family and I gather on Sunday the presents and the food won’t be the most important part of the celebration. The most important part will be the memories.
The food will be gone by the end of the day. The gifts may last a few years longer. But the memories will never go away.
